At Posada Sierra de Ibio, we believe breakfast is more than simply the first meal of the day.

It is that moment when you sit down without rushing, enjoy a good cup of coffee, discover the flavors of Cantabria, and start thinking about what the day ahead might bring.

Every morning, we prepare our Traditional Cantabrian Breakfast using fresh, seasonal and locally sourced products, bringing together some of the flavors that are part of our mornings here in Cantabria: quesada pasiega, freshly baked homemade cakes, bread, homemade jams, fresh fruit and natural juices.

Because here, we don’t want you to rush through breakfast.

We want you to enjoy it.

Our Traditional Cantabrian Breakfast

€10 per person

Our breakfast is a little celebration of the flavors of Cantabria and the products we love to have on our table.

Every morning, you’ll find a selection of:

Freshly brewed coffee from Café Dromedario.
Tea or herbal infusions.
Fresh milk from Cantabria, from Granja Cudaña and Coop Valles Unidos de Asón.
Homemade yogurt with seasonal fruit.
Sourdough country bread, delivered fresh every morning from the local bakery.
Freshly squeezed natural juices, including orange juice and a variety of seasonal fruit juices.
Our delicious homemade jams, made at the Posada. Flavors may include apple and cinnamon, chocolate and banana, bitter orange, plum and raisin, fig, and more.
Freshly grated tomato, prepared every morning and served with extra virgin olive oil.
Delicious, light and fluffy homemade cakes, including lemon, orange, walnut and raisin varieties.
Traditional quesada pasiega, a classic Cantabrian specialty, freshly baked every day.

The selection may vary slightly depending on the season and the products available each day.

Because part of the charm of having breakfast in the countryside is precisely that: every morning can be a little different.

Traditional Cantabrian Breakfast + Savory Selection

€14 per person

If you like something savory to start your day, you don’t have to give up our traditional breakfast.

You can add a selection of cured meats and cheeses to our Traditional Cantabrian Breakfast while still enjoying everything included in our regular breakfast.

That way, you get the best of both worlds: our homemade sweets and local products, together with a savory selection to enjoy with country bread, fresh tomato and extra virgin olive oil.

Extra virgin olive oil

This is our option for those who enjoy a heartier breakfast or simply prefer to combine sweet and savory.

FOURTH SEATING: 9:30 am

Please note that your entire party must arrive and have breakfast together at the selected time.

If your preferred seating time is already fully booked, we will assign you one of the available times.

Natural Food Menu for Dogs

At our rural inn, we also offer a 100% natural homemade meal for dogs.

It is a fresh, 100% natural meal made with healthy and balanced ingredients, including fresh vegetables, meat, chicken and egg.

The ingredients are cooked at a low temperature to eliminate bacteria that may be present in raw meat while preserving the flavor and nutritional qualities of the food, making it both safe and delicious for your furry friend.

Our homemade menu contains no grains and no artificial seasonings.

It can be requested when making your reservation.
